Meet my God

The last two weeks we’ve been learning about the character and nature of God as well as the heart of God. My blog posts are mainly consisting of what stuck out to me during lectures. I already have so much peace about who I’ve been, who I am, and who I’ll become because I know I can trust God to convict me when I’m wrong and to lead me down the path I’m meant to walk.

Jesus needs you to be you. He cares more about your spiritual growth than you ever could. Surround yourself with wise people to get more knowledge. (Philippians 3:8-10) Christians get off track when the Bible loses authority in their lives! Lift the problem to Him, or you could just keep letting the snakes bite your ankles. You can't heal your sin, you have to look to God! 'Die To Self' because it is boring to live for self, live for God! God doesn't owe us anything on Earth... but He is a gift giver. Pay attention to what you pay attention to. God gives us a progressive revelation of who He is. (2 Peter 3:18)

Reconciliation is made up of truth, mercy, justice, and peace. (Psalm 85:10) Don't keep tabs on others' faults. People like being around people who are humble... not proud. The one who's been forgiven much loves much. Intimacy isn't automatic, He can't enter without an invitation. You are 2/3 invisible as you are made up of body, spirit, and soul. The one you spend the most time with is the one that teaches you the most! Intimacy doesn't come from service but surrender. If you won't do the will of God... no one will. No one can do what you can do, you're irreplaceable. Don't question if you're capable, if He's in you, He will work through you.

Forgiveness is not optional, it's a command in scripture. Thinking righteous thoughts, righteous actions develop. You're destroying your security by pretending to be something you're not. The degree of wholeness we walk in is best determined by the degree of love we demonstrate. Unforgiveness becomes a stronghold. Unforgiveness and jealousy prevent healing. When you choose to trust God, that's when you get success. God knows the timing and place, you just have to obey. Have the courage to let God speak through you. Addicts don't need to be reminded. They know. The question is how do they get out of it? You don't believe? Then where did this beauty come from? Where did you get your spirit and soul? Why are you here and where will you go?

Asking questions brings an answer, giving answers brings more questions. You take to Heaven the souls that you save. A person chooses to be offended or to forgive. If you borrow, pay back! Don't conveniently forget. Have faith... God provides. A lot of my choices in life have been rooted in trying to find my purpose. We've been reading this book called Is That Really You, God? and I'm realizing that I have become a part of something big. I'm fascinated by the connections that my fellow teammates have with the original YWAMers. Being here has been a dream. I'm loving every day.
